LOCATION:

Most of our dogs are kenneled at our own facility called the Akita Ranch located in Romoland,
California off of the 215 freeway near Menifee in Southwest Riverside County California.  We are about
1.5 hrs north of downtown San Diego and about two hours southeast of Los Angeles.  We are open daily
from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week for volunteers and donations.. If you are interested in adopting,
please schedule an appointment to ensure that we have the staff and time available to give your adoption
the attention that both you and the dogs deserve. During winter (PST) hours, the last available adoption
appointment begins at 2:30 p.m.  Saturday and Sunday are our busiest days and and scheduling your
appointment by Thursday is highly recommended.  Please e-mail apassionforpaws@gmail.com to
schedule an appointment to visit or meet our Akita Ranch dogs. Dogs in foster homes are available to
meet by appointment with the foster parents and you must contact the fosters directly

Due to our rural location and ongoing construction detours, please do not rely on GPS when trying to find
us, consult another electronic or hard copy map.  Please note we are off of the 215 freeway and 74
